Celluma Light Therapy
Light emitting diode (LED) therapy, also known as phototherapy or low-level light
therapy, is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic
benefits for a variety of conditions including skin, pain and hair restoration. The absorbed
energy is then used to improve cellular performance.
Dr. Postolov uses the Celluma Light Therapy Pro machine, an FDA-cleared device approved for
pain management, hair growth and skin health. Research has shown that LED therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve acne prone skin, skin tone, texture and clarity, decrease under eye wrinkles as well as ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm, and pain associated with arthritis.
During your treatment, different wavelengths of light will be applied to the affected area depending on your condition.
For example:
Red and Blue Light is applied for acne and skin health. This wavelength of light helps to diminish acne bacteria, clear existing breakouts and restore your skin’s health appearance to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
Yellow and Red Light is applied for pain and will reduce inflammation and increase circulation, and help reduce arthritic and joint pain, as well as reduce stiffness and muscle spasms.
Yellow Light can be used to treat Rosacea.
Red Light is helpful for male and female infertility, as well as hair growth.
During your therapy, your eyes will be covered to avoid discomfort. However, LED light therapy treatments emit UV-free low-level light energy so they are non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time, and can be used safely on all skin types. Treatment time is usually 30 minutes.
