Lara Foy
Lara Foy graduated with honors from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College of Berkeley. With 12 years of clinical TCM experience, she navigates Western and Chinese medical knowledge with a gentle Japanese style needling technique. She expanded her graduate studies with a sports medicine internship at the UC Berkeley Athletics Department, graduated from the Twin Lakes College of Massage and studied at the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong. Lara trained for seven years to also become a healing song practitioner. Licensed as an acupuncturist in California and Vermont, she has taken her practice to both coasts, Ireland, and Mexico. Lara grew up internationally, speaks French, Spanish and Nepali and has two Taiwanese nephews! She is thrilled to be back in the California sunshine!
Lara has worked in tandem with Naturopathic Doctors, chiropractors, midwives, massage therapists and reiki masters for the best outcome for her patients. She has worked on pathologies of all organ systems, auto immunities, pain, and musculoskeletal injury. She is a specialist in microneedling, lymphatic drainage, fertility, oncology, post- stroke, paralysis, pediatrics, women’s health and emotional psychospiritual work (anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, grief, etc.)
Outside of the clinic, Lara is an actor, singer and writer who loves to travel and swim in the sea! She has been an Indigenous rights and women’s rights advocate across the country for 25 years. Fueled by her own desire to heal, she has studied sound healing, aromatherapy, nutrition, life coaching, and artistic and shamanic practices. Whatever ails you, Lara is determined to get to the root, address it, and improve your time here in this wild, precious life. She will not give up on you.
